Two great performance luxury German cars with different ways of extracting power. One with a small displacement high revving 4-liter V8 powering the rear wheels. While the other takes advantage of a 3-liter supercharged V6, powering all four wheels. Horsepower figures are obviously over the stock figures of 414hp / 295 lb-ft of torque and about 330 hp / 325 lb-ft of torque, respectively. Even though the true competitor for the BMW E92 M3 is the Audi B7 RS-4, we feel that the B8 S4 will do in this post. Especially knowing that the S4 can easily be modified to compete in this category.
BMW M Division is gearing up for the upcoming F30 M3 4-door sedan that will compete with the upcoming Audi RS-4 B9, which itself may share the RS-5’s powerplant. The next M3 will be powered with a multi-turbochaged, twin or tri, inline 6 cylinder that will produce a minimum of 450 hp, close to the current Audi RS-5 power figure. Furthermore, slightly after the release of the BMW 428i and 435i, the first ever BMW M4 coupe will follow, replacing the outgoing E92 M3 coupe.
Watch the Videos of the BMW M3 E92 and Audi S4 B8 Tastefully Modified:
M3 Video: Mods include Megan Racing Exhaust, BC Forged Wheels, 295/25 ZR20 Tires rear, with 255/30 ZR20 tires front. Aftermarket rear bumper, carbon fiber front bumper lip, and carbon fiber mirror covers.
While this is not a direct comparison between the two, many true drivers may choose the M3 over the S4, a sub RS-4 Audi. But the real question, would they choose a 335is over the S4?

M3 ftw. Not a bad S4 though.
