History of M, Seven newly taken BMW M Videos…
It has been four decades since BMW started creating magic on four wheels. BMW M division started out long before some car makers began producing regular cars, let alone have a successful in-house tuning division.
We put together a comprehensive list of newly taken BMW M videos for all of us to enjoy watching. The videos include the legendary BMW M1, the mid engine race-derived and original M-car that started a trend of creating some of the worlds most capable cars on the track, while being pleasurable daily drivers. The second video is of an E24 BMW M 635CSi, the predecessor of our current day M6 that was launched back in 1984. Third video, showcases the beginning of the wolf-in-sheep-skin, the one and only BMW E28 M5. Fourth video displays the E30 M3, the benchmark of the E46 M3 and E82 1M coupe. Fifth video puts fourth the M Coupe e36, based on the Z3 Coupe in a beautiful desert road setting, running at high speed. Sixth is the M5 e39 which debuted the first V8 powered M5 coupled to a 6 speed manual. As the seventh video features the limited production 1 Series M Coupe in action, the first boosted M production car ever. Last but not least, the M5 F10 on the track, featuring the first turbo charged M5 to be built.
BMW M1 Video: Watch the BMW M1 rip through the Nurburgring at impressive cornering speeds for a legend of its age. Powered by a 3.5 liter inline 6 cylinder engine producing 277 hp @ 6500 rpm and 243 ft-lbs of torque @ 5000 rpm. A turbo charged racing version of the 3.5 liter was capable of 850 hp.

BMW M 635CSi E24 Video: The 1984 BMW M635CSi E24 rips through the track exposing an amazing stance for a legend of its age. Powered by a 3.5 liter inline 6 cylinder engine producing 282 hp @ 6500 rpm and 246 ft-lbs of torque @ 4500 rpm.

BMW M5 E28 Video: The 1985 BMW M5 E28 runs through the track exposing its classic lines that looks great even to this day. Power output of the 3.5 liter inline 6 was 282 hp @ 6500 rpm and 251 ft-lb of torque @ 4500 rpm.
BMW M3 E30 Video: The 1986 BMW E30 M3 rushing around the track with it’s flared out fenders, and over-sized trunk spoiler. Powered by a 2.3 liter inline-4 cylinder engine producing 197 hp @ 6750 rpm and 177 ft-lb of torque @ 4750 rpm. What a car!!!

BMW M Coupe E36 Z3 Video: The 1998 BMW M Coupe driving at high speeds on an amazing desert road. Owners of the e36 Z3 M Coupe are possibly one of the most tightly knitted in the BMW community in our recent history. Powered by a 3.2 liter inline 6 engine from the E36 M3 producing 240 hp @ 6000 rpm and 236 ft-lbs @ 3800 rpm.

BMW M5 E39 Video: The 1998 BMW M5 driving around the Nurburgring, taking corners at high speed while looking composed, yet monstrous. If you can find a used clean, well maintained E39 M5, don’t hesitate to purchase it. As it may be one of the coolest looking 5 series ever built. Not to forget the greatness of the 5.0 liter V8 with 400 hp and 395 ft-lbs of torque.

BMW 1 Series M Coupe E82 Video: The 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe beauty shots next to the e30 M3 that it’s genetically based. Additionally, some nicely composed track cornering shots that can’t be missed. Powered by the N54 TwinPower Turbo charged inline 6 cylinder engine with direct injection, producing 335 hp @ 5900 rpm and 332 ft-lb torque from 1500-4500 rpm. An overboost function allows for burst of +37lb-ft of torque. In the US market, the 1M launched as a 2012 model with a very limited production run, making it highly collectible.

BMW M5 F10 Video: The 2011 BMW M5 shows its beauty and muscles in this amazing quality video. In the US the F10 launched as a 2013 model, powered by a 4.4L TwinTurbo V8 producing 560 hp and 502 ft-lbs with an almost flat torque curve . A7-speed M-Double Clutch (M-DCT) and a 6 speed manual transmissions are available.
As a side note, the list of video would not be complete without the E34 M5, E36 M3, E46 M3, E60 M5 V10, and the E63 M6 V10 and everything in between.
