MINI Countryman received a facelift for 2013 model year. The slight design update will insure that this Mini stays ahead of the curve. Updates include carbon and high gloss black center speedometer round surround trim and air vents. Chromed out trim is available in the Chrome Line package for the interior. Additionally, newly designed door inserts and armrests allow for more comfort. In order to provide easier access to the center storage compartment, the power window switches (both sides) and mirror switch (driver side only) have moved to the area forward of the door armrests.
Most importantly the Countryman will offer a 3rd row bench seat as a no-cost option. Separate seats that accommodate two people are available also available at no cost.
Three engine choices are available. There is the base 1.6L inline 4 cylinder producing 121 hp powering the front wheels. While the Mini Countryman Cooper S benefits from a turbocharged 4 cylinder making 181 hp and optional ALL4 all wheel drive. Not powerful enough for your taste? Then take advantage of the fun-packed MINI John Cooper Works Countryman with standard ALL4 AWD system.
Expect the 2013 model year update to become available starting November 2012. Newly released metallic paints are now offered in Brilliant Copper and Blazing Red.
